dark fruit and blackberries follow through to a medium body
My favorite of the Gigondas lineup
as is the wine's mid-weight personality
Slightly more robust on the nose
Aromas and flavors of classic Chardonnay signatures—including Bartlett pear and crisp green apple—are joined with lemon zest
2021 | Domaine David Duband Clos de la Roche Grand Cru | Morey-Saint-Denis Grand Cru Domaine Vigneau-Chevreau dark fruit and blackberries follow(80% from Clos de la Roche proper and 20% from Fremires where the two total . 40 ha). An earthier if less spicy nose reflects a lovely array of floral elements that include violet, rose petal and acacia. The succulent, concentrated and overtly powerful larger scaled flavors also conclude in beautifully long and complex finale that is shaped by a firm core of tannins. This isnt robust but its close so this may need close to a decade of keeping first.
