humid summers with lots of rain
We first became familiar with the hardy bromeliad Puya dyckioides on our 2002 Argentina trip
This tight clumper makes one of the best evergreen specimens of any of our gingers and looks as good in the late winter as it does in early summer

Agave titanota Sunburst Hardy Palms and Cycads humid summers with lots ofAgave titanota 'Sunburst' is an amazing sport that occurred at Plant Delights Nursery on Agave titanota 'Solar Eclipse'. In early spring, the entire central core of Agave titanota 'Sunburst' turns bright creamy gold. For us the color holds well until late summer, when it eventually fades to all green. In areas without frost, or if you have a large enough pot, expect an 18" tall x 30" wide specimen.
