with the faces especially betraying the idealized bodies and poses the carving was clearly hoping to achieve

it works splendidly that way

and I must say they completely captivated me with their beauty

A nice balance of humble and elegant I think, and just a good one. 3 t x 3 3 4 l x 1 1 8 w and in very good condition, with a bit of cloudiness to the old varnished surface near the heel and on the sold, which I personally like.
