Syagrus weddellianum (known until recently as Lytocaryum weddellianum) still grows naturally in the rainforests of the southeastern coast of Brazil. An elegant and delicate palm with super fine leaves, it maxes out at about 2m (if that) making it a great indoor houseplant. A distant cousin of the Coconut palm, it even produces tiny coconut like fruit after flowering.
