This isn’t quite as complex but there is even better length
violet and earth suffused nose
smooth savouriness which effortlessly draws you in
I would not be surprised if this is a less than perfect example
The release of the 2004 Bin 60A following the epic 1962 Bin 60A is old news now
Philippe Pacalet, Aloxe Corton 1er Cru Vintage:2017 This isn’t quite as complex(mostly from Valozires). Once again there are plenty of floral characteristics adding a touch of elegance to the otherwise distinctly earthy and gamy aromas of dark currant and plum. The robust and muscular broadshouldered flavors possess a lovely mid palate texture that contrasts somewhat with the rustic, serious and built to age finish. This is quite good but a wine for those who can buy and forget they own it. (90 92) 2029+
