In this position, you are a lead Senior Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) with demonstrated success in supporting large programs with multiple deliverables to the federal government. The Senior QAM is responsible for the programmatic quality of support, focusing on coordination, planning, reporting, and administration functions.  The Senior QAM will ensure the quality program aligns with the Quality Control Plan ensuring the project deliverables meet or exceed required metrics.  The Senior QAM will recommend and implement process improvements directed at improving efficiency and productivity.  The Senior QAM will maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, customers, quality representatives, and company personnel to manage quality issues 

The Senior QAM will lead customer quality audits to ensure system and company compliance. The Senior QAM will establish program standard operating procedures and goals while developing and implementing training programs to ensure employees are properly trained and competent in all job functions. The Senior QAM will also verify implementation and compliance of root cause analysis and human factors elements applying corrective action requirements as needed. The Senior QAM will also develop, implement and enforce policies, procedures, and systems to improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the program. The Senior QAM will manage delivery in accordance with the Service Level Agreements (SLAs) providing regular reporting internally and the government on SLA performance. 

Essential Functions: 

  • Responsible to lead, develop, and maintain a comprehensive quality management system of a large program providing cloud services 
  • Support continuous monitoring and improvement activities to the quality management system 
  • Ensure compliance with international standards, federal government policies and standards by implementing industry best practices 
  • Research, develop, coordinate, implement, maintain and update the Quality Control Plan (QCP) to meet or excel the schedule, quality, and performance requirements 
  • Perform internal quality audits and inspections, identify corrective and preventive actions, and perform follow-up activities 
  • Inspect standardized procedures, items, operations and/or contract requirements for compliance 
  • Maintain independent record of program artifacts—reports, inspection, remediation, and adjudication 
  • Interpret plans, contracts and specifications and observation of activities to check adherence to quality and contract practices and requirements 
  • Prepare, coordinate, submit, and document performance, management reviews, inspection, and testing and summary reports 
  • Collect and input data from various sources into electronic spreadsheets or databases for graphing and trending 
  • Update Quality Assurance SharePoint/BI Dashboard site with QA documentation—monthly customer and project reports, corrective/preventive actions, customer satisfaction, and reviews 
  • Collect statistics, develop reports and oversee the Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP) implementation by devising methodologies by which the program will meet or exceed schedule, quality, and performance requirements 
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and update the QASP’s methodologies to meet changing customer requirements 
  • Utilize strong written and oral communications skills to translate architecture solution to customers and business owners  
  • Act as a contributor or member of a team for projects within a defined area of responsibility; experience working independently in a matrixed team environment 
  • Perform a combination of routine, multiple and varying assignments under the general direction of the Program Director 

Must Have Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree from an accredited university 
  • 5-7 years’ relevant experience 
  • Familiarity with and implemented ISO 9001 Quality Management System 
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint 
  • Experience working with risk management techniques, metrics, KPIs 
  • Experience working independently within a matrixed team 

Desired Qualifications:  

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills. 
  • Familiarity with Federal or DoD organizations, policies, procedures, instructions, directives, and manuals 
  • Experience working with SLAs and/or performance-based agreements/contracts 
  • Experience with CMMI 
  • Experience working with the U.S. Federal Government 
  • Cloud or IT QA specialist experience in an IT environment 
  • Familiarity with Power BI and Visio 
  • PMBOK PMP or similar certification 
  • ASQ Certification 

Clearance: 

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen at a minimum but highly desirable to have Active Security Clearance or the ability to attain one 
  • Must be willing to undergo a background investigation 

Work Location: 

  • Fairfax, Virginia (currently telework)   
  • Ability to travel to customer facilities as needed
