TechTrend is seeking a full-time, Cisco experienced, senior VoIP engineer to integration the Government enterprise on-premises VoIP Cisco solution with an enterprise cloud-based Microsoft Office solution.  The unclassified VoIP solution provides for hard phones and soft clients using Voice over IP (VoIP) services with access to enhanced calling features via Enterprise Session Controllers (ESC). The classified VoIP solution provides for hard phones using classified VoIP services with access to the full range of SIP-based features. The Office solution provides common productivity suite, messaging, content management and collaboration.  The primary focus is interoperability of VoIP softswitches using an Assured Services Session Initiation Protocol (AS-SIP) trunk for voice and video capabilities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design, architecture, test and implement interoperability of the Microsoft Office solution (i.e., Office 365) with the VoIP Enterprise Session Controllers (ESC) or Core Session Controllers (CSC) to allow users to dial in to a published native audio conference bridge
  • Integrate the Softswitch backbone to the Office solution to enable video services
  • Develop documentations, briefings and other project artifacts as needed

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related field preferred with at least three (3) years of experience in Voice Communication Systems; At least seven (7) years of experience without a degree
  • At least two (2) years of configuring and provisioning Cisco VoIP hardware/software in a complex environment (5 years of experience preferred)
  • Knowledge of cloud computing services and Microsoft Office 365 architecture
  • Knowledge of the practices and principles of telecommunication systems analysis, planning, design, and problem resolution.
  • Knowledge of VoIP troubleshooting techniques, traffic engineering, protocols and experience interpreting and taking action on alert management and performance management tools.
  • Experience supporting DISA or other DOD projects and programs preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and manage schedules under tight, fixed deadlines. Ability to multitask, adapt and change to support business needs.
  • Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and follow-through
  • Excellent time management skills; Work with minimal supervision and with high attention to detail
  • Cisco certification preferred

Compensation: Commensurate with experience

Work Location: Fairfax, VA

Travel Requirements: Travel to client location as needed
