Pre-Sales Solutions Architect

As a Pre-sales Solution Architect, you will play a critical role in winning new businesses by helping our customer understand the value of our capabilities in multiple technology domains such as Artificial Intelligence, DevSecOps, Cloud Services, and Application Development.  In addition, you will be instrumental in conveying our capabilities and experiences as technical lead during proposal development.  The successful candidate will be passionate about technology, an exceptional team player, and have strong presentation and technical writing skills .

Responsibilities

  • Able to present, demonstrate, and articulate technical solutions in a concise, clear, and convincing way to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Work closely with business development to learn the customer’s requirements and develop innovative, best-in-class technical solutions for sales opportunities
  • Analyze RFx pipeline opportunities and support no/no-go decisions based on alignment with TechTrend’s capabilities and experiences
  • Collaborate with the assigned proposal manager(s) to lead the development of proposals that align with the customer desired outcomes
  • Interview account owners and SMEs to articulate the best technical approach and solution to meet or exceed RFx requirements
  • Support internal prototyping and solutions development of new technical offerings
  • Lead technical discussions in all aspects of the technical sales cycle to include product demonstrations, technical presentations, and requirements analysis
  • Provide thought leadership and creativity to brainstorm and author innovative and competitive technical approaches/solutions, differentiators, win-themes and to structure these approaches into proposal storyboards and outlines to support proposal development efforts
  • Participate and contribute to proposal content reviews and support addressing comments where applicable and as assigned
  • Collaborate with SMEs to develop and leverage proposal artifacts in a content library, or research independently to acquire and write proposal content
  • Develop written products that align with the writing style and expectations of the client and intended audience, translating technical concepts into language appropriate for the intended audience

Qualifications

  • Education: Minimum of high school diploma (Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar technical discipline strongly preferred)
  • Base Experience: At least 5 years supporting pre-sales and proposal writing functions (formal proposal writing and proposal development training is preferred)
  • Domain Experience: At least 3 years’ experience in one or more of the relevant technology domains (Cloud Computing, DevSecOps, or Applications Development) in the professional services industry
  • Certification: Azure professional certifications (Azure Solutions Architect Expert preferred)

Work Location:

  • Hybrid (requires candidates located in or within a commutable distance from TechTrend headquarters in Reston, Virginia)
