Cloud Security Architect

Position Overview

TechTrend, Inc. is seeking a skilled and experienced Security Architect to join our team in supporting one of our civilian government customers with security functions within the various commercial cloud environments, namely focused on AWS and Azure.

Responsibilities

Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to mitigate security risks and support annual ATO activities

Monitor security systems for threats and respond to security incidents, conducting investigations and root cause analyses.

Support cloud team resolve POAMs

Support security infrastructure for various commercial cloud environments (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint protection, etc.).

Collaborate with IT, DevOps to integrate security into operational processes and projects.

Stay current with emerging security technologies and threat intelligence.

Prepare reports and present findings to senior management and stakeholders.

Support the development and maintenance of Splunk dashboards

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, or related field

Expertise in government security standards

Hands on experience with commercial cloud environments

6+ years’ experience in security architecture or a similar role.

Hands-on experience with enterprise security tools and platforms.

Hands-on experience with Splunk

PREFERRED SKILLS

Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Knowledge of secure software development and DevSecOps practices.

Experience with monitoring tools such as Orca and DataDog

Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, SABSA, etc.) highly desirable
